Ben McConnell is co-founder and CEO of Blue Parable, a Loveland based software start-up focused on bringing elegant, intuitive software solutions to businesses big and small.

In addition to running Blue Parable, Ben serves as Manager of Ecommerce and Digital Marketing for Cloz LLC, a Loveland based boutique retailer owned by his fiancée Anna Gutierrez and her mother Penne Sperry. Cloz operates two brick and mortar retail stores in downtown Loveland, each with an accompanying ecommerce site.

Ben began his career as an intern for the Thompson School District’s IT department at age 16. Throughout his career, he has held various technical and leadership positions in a number of industries including public education, building material manufacturing, car rental, and retail; ranging from small businesses to some of the world’s largest privately and publicly owned companies. As a certified Enterprise Architect, Ben has a passion for business architecture. He’s well versed in a myriad of business analysis and modeling techniques that enable process centric design of business solutions. He loves sharing these tools with business leaders and helping them improve their existing products and services, or create new ones.

Dixie Daly

 

Inventions, Author, Marketing, Sales

Dixie Daly is the Business/Membership Director for the Loveland Chamber of Commerce. In this position, she creates and organizes many groups and event such as leadership Loveland, Early Birds lead group, Business Before and After Hours, Golf Tournaments, Corn Roast and Sweetheart Festival, Lunch Connections, Lunch N Learn, Annual Dinner, Valentine Stamping, Ambassador and Miss Valentine Programs.

Dixie combines her entrepreneurial energy with a lifelong passion for helping others. She generously shares her passion, innovation leadership, intense business savvy and extensive network of contacts to encourage others, both as individuals and as new entrepreneurs. Dixie has appeared on Denver’s ABC and NBC, promoting inventions and the creation of new ideas. She is well known for taking an idea from scribbled notes to a world-wide market. She grasps the value and impact of solid mentoring, networking, inspiring and encouraging other entrepreneurs to pursue their dreams and reach their goals.

Dixie began her successful fundraising experience as a volunteer in Loveland’s Thompson R2J School District. For the past 35 years she has provided fundraising expertise and top Sales awards with companies like Time Warner, Reader’s Digest, Graber Window Blinds and Colorado Rockies Baseball Team. Throughout her years as an entrepreneur, Dixie has received numerous awards such as eWomen Network’s International Business Match-Maker, Biz West ‘Women of Distinction,’ Colorado Women of Influence Vision and the Colorado Women of Influence Inspirational award and is an award-winning poet. She is a Board Member with Colorado Women of Influence and President of her local ESA Sigma Rho Sorority Chapter and was a Committee Member for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

Rich Chiappe

 

Marketing Consultant

Rich began his career in sales for large corporations transitioning to business development for multiple high tech startups before eventually building his own businesses. Most recently, he helped his business partners grow their aviation manufacturing business from $1M to over $5M in annual sales becoming the industry leader in their space.

After raising their three children, Rich and his wife moved to Estes Park where they now own and operate a very successful lodging business.

Rich holds a BBA in Marketing from the University of Texas and loves helping fellow business owners create, stimulate and grow opportunities for their businesses.

Tami Parker

 

Human Resources

Tami Parker, CEO of UNIcycle Business Consulting, brings 26 years of big business experience to help small businesses grow. Tami offers full spectrum Human Resources Services, from recruiting, to creating job descriptions, to management training, to policy writing and enforcement, to performance management, she does it all.

One of her specialties in recruiting is interviewing for the intangibles. She volunteers to help small business owners through Fort Collins StartUp Week, Longmont Start Up Week and East Colorado SBDC and Larimer SBDC.

This appointment is with an SBDC Specialist who offers a limited number of hours (3, 1 hour sessions) to each SBDC client s/he sees. Pavel Verbsky

 

Business Valuation Specialist

Pavel Verbsky was born abroad in the Czech Republic. In 2002, he graduated from the University of Economics in Prague with a master in finance and accounting. He has worked in accounting since 2003 when he moved to the USA. In 2005, he joined Rickards, Long & Rulon, LLP in Fort Collins. 

He enjoys working with business owners, helping them understand how to use accounting information efficiently. Pavel began volunteering for the Larimer SBDC in 2009. His focus is business valuations – helping potential buyers or sellers assess the value of a business.
