Our consultants have chosen to give their time to the SBDC and we make every effort to honor their commitment to the SBDC by providing scheduled appointments with clients during their dedicated time.
When a client doesn’t show up or is unable to make the appointment, the consultant is unable to make productive use of their time. Even a cancellation the day before does not allow us enough time to reschedule someone else during that time. Although we understand emergencies arise, due to the large number of no shows or short cancellations, we have found it necessary to implement the following policy:
CANCELLATION POLICY
After the second time a client misses an appointment or cancels less than 24 hours in advance, the client will need to attend a paid workshop before they may schedule any further consulting appointments. Any appointments already scheduled will be canceled. Until you attend a training session, you will be unable to schedule with any SBDC consultants. This is not to make our services inaccessible, only to ensure that the time consultants provide is fully utilized.
